The exterior design of Merato Velox is the fruit of painstaking design process as well as implementation. As a result Velox's appearance stands out in a class on its own from Merato's would-be competitors. Much attention has been devoted to the design element. The execution of such design in the paint and graphic stages requires mastery of both skills. This dramatic and contemporary design not only sets Velox apart from its would-be competitors, but sets the trend for other motorcycle companies to follow. It provides a perfect balance between modern design elements and richness of quality that is the core basis for all Merato vehicles.
FAST, POWERFUL AND FUEL EFFICIENT
Beauty is NOT always skin deep. Merato Velox's dramatic design and styling is combined with a highly advanced 150 cc, 10.1 Horsepower 4 stroke, air cooled engine. The state of the art technology incorporated into this engine provides loads of power and speed, while taking a load off your wallet (85 mpg fuel consumption). This highly efficient engine is the product of years of research, engineering and testing.
ADVANCED FRONT DISK BRAKES
The front wheel brakes in motorcycles and scooters are most critical for stopping and related maneuvers. As such, great emphasis has been placed by Merato on the technology used in front brakes. The front brake assembly of the Velox is, therefore, equipped with a highly advanced hand-operated, saw tooth disk blade, dual caliper (cylinder) brakes. Additionally, the front disk brakes are equipped with ABS (Anti-Lock Braking System).
ADVANCED DISPLAY CONSOL
Most manufacturers of scooters lose sight of the significance of information. They provide a speed reading and a fuel reading. But, every advanced machine provides a wide array of information to its operator. Merato Velox is no exception. Its advanced night capable indigo display console is equipped with speedometer (mph & kmh), odometer, tachometer, voltmeter, fuel gauge, signal, light and brake indicators. It is also designed to withstand harsh environmental condition and is air-tight sealed to prevent moisture damage.
COMFORT FOR TWO AND PRACTICALITY
Velox's seat design comfortably accommodates two riders. For the comfort of the second rider, Velox is equipped with a cushioned-back-rest-equipped rear storage trunk. The rear storage trunk of the Velox provides additional needed storage space (in addition to the front glove box and under-seat storage). You will have ample space for those sunny-day shopping runs.
PERFORMANCE MUFFLER & SPORTS SUSPENSION
Luxury design meets high performance. Nothing is sacrificed. The Velox is equipped with sports tuned suspension and a new high performance muffler that is lighter and more compact.
THE RECIPE FOR QUALITY
The recipe for creating a quality product is relatively simple. Similar to preparing a delightful cuisine, you start with using the BEST quality materials. Merato adheres to the same principles by incorporating ONLY premium quality material and components into its scooters. By way of example, the Merato multipole flywheel magneto stator assembly (pictured below) is compared to the typical Chinese made model. The Merato stator assembly is typically equipped with 12 coils and is wound using computerized winding robots which create a uniform and consistent winding of the coils. This leads to a stable output through out the RPM range. "Others" use primitive, roughly wound 6 or 8 coil magnetos which will not be sufficient to maintain adequate current. Similarly the best bearings, pistons and carburetors and other components, from the leading suppliers (e.g. Deni Japan, INA) are selected and incorporated into Merato scooters. This principle of using only premium quality material is universally applied by Merato to all components that are integrated into its products.
