Payment

Unless otherwise clearly stated, all items are BRAND NEW and AVAILABLE IN STOCK and normally ship within 48 business hours of receipt of payment. All payments must be received within 7 calendar days of purchase date.  All payments made by personal/business or electronic check require bank clearance prior to shipment. Shipping

We CANNOT, under any circumstance, accommodate local pickups or third party shipping arrangements. We ship to physical address only. We DO NOT ship to P.O. Box, APO or FPO. We DO NOT offer combined shipping due to restrictions. Flat rate shipping rates, if offered, only apply to the 48 contiguous States. They do not apply to Hawaii, Alaska and Puerto Rico or other US territories. Please contact us for rates to those locations. Shipping method shall be ground shipping by the carrier of our choice (usually UPS, FEDEX or US Postal Service). Items weighting 100 lbs or more will be shipped via freight company of our choosing. Tracking numbers will be available after 5 days from the date of shipping.  All items will be shipped to the purchaser's address as provided. We are not responsible for errors or inconsistencies in said addresses. Please update your address before you purchase. We require a telephone number before any shipment is processed. The freight carrier will contact the provided number to schedule the delivery. All items are shipped Free on Board (FOB) at our warehouse, freight prepaid. The customer takes title to the goods at the time of shipment. WE ARE NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR TRANSIT DELAYS.

 

International Shipping

For shipments to locations outside the United States, the purchaser shall be responsible for custom clearance, duties, brokerage fees, taxes and other incidental charges. It is the responsibility of the purchaser to determine whether each product is suitable for import and use into their jurisdiction.

 

Shipping Insurance

We use the most reputable carriers for the shipment of each order.  Nevertheless, despite the best care and proper packaging, accidents do happen.  Depending on the item, shipping insurance may be required, included or optional. If shipping insurance is provided as an added option, please note that we, nor the carrier, are under any circumstance, responsible for loss or damage incurred during the course of shipping, unless optional shipping insurance is purchased by the purchaser. 

 

Inspection Upon Receipt

Upon receipt of the order, the purchaser/recipient is hereby requested to open the packaging and inspect the shipment thoroughly and completely for damage. All visible damage and/or nonconformity, regardless of its severity, size or significance must be noted on waybill or other shipping documents by the customer. Failure by the purchaser/recipient to note any damage, defect or irregularity in the shipping documents shall be construed as a declaration by the purchaser/recipient that the goods were received in good order and condition and free from any defect or non-conformity. If there is significant damage resulting from mishandling of goods by the shipping carrier, the customer is hereby asked to refuse the shipment. Additionally, the customer must notify us, in writing, within 48 hours of receipt of damaged, non-conforming product. In the event of shipping loss or damage, it is the sole responsibility of the purchaser to file for an insurance claim and we will offer all necessary assistance to the purchaser for that purpose. Minor cosmetic damages that do not impact the operation or safety of the unit are expressly excluded under the terms of any return, warranty and/or insurance policy.

 

Limited Warranty

A 1 year parts only manufacturer's warranty is furnished from the date of purchase. Labor is expressly excluded from this limited warranty. The purchaser shall be responsible for identifying the defective part or component.  The customer must then return the defective/faulty product or component/part thereof to our designated facility for inspection. The faulty/defective product component/part will then be inspected and repaired or replaced (at our option). The repaired/replaced component shall then be returned to the purchaser. The purchaser shall be responsible for all shipping handling costs of returning faulty products or parts to us for replacement or repair.  The customer shall also be responsible for the costs of shipping and handling for return to the customer of the repaired/replaced part(s).  Certain items which are subject to normal wear and tear are specifically excluded from this warranty (e.g. tires, brake pads, belts, etc.) We shall not be responsible for faulty installation, operation or maintenance of the product and as such we recommend installation, assembly, repair and maintenance only by certified and qualified professionals. We reserve the right to require proof of same before honoring any parts warranty replacement/repair. Damage resulting from failure to use the product in a manner consistent with our/manufacturer’s recommendations shall render the limited warranty void.   This limited warranty specifically excludes any consequential and/or incidental damages. Although we may provide technical assistance via telephone email, to the customer, it is virtually impossible to trouble-shoot all matters via telephone or remote assistance.  As such, the offering by Merato of any technical assistance is made without any warranty or guarantee and provided on “as is” basis.   Although Merato will do its best to provide technical support remotely, in many circumstances the technical issue/problem may not be resolved despite our best efforts.  As such, it is expressly understood, and made an express condition of this sale, that the customer may be required to consult a professional technician for troubleshooting/repair/start-up and that any such consultation, shall be at the sole responsibility of customer and the customer shall bear all costs relative thereto.  All such costs shall be the responsibility of the customer we shall not be responsible for any costs or expenses related thereto.  

 

Suitability and Compliance

It is the responsibility of each purchaser to determine whether any particular product is compliant with and permissible for use pursuant to the applicable rules, codes and/or regulations, if any, and suitable for particular use and operation. We make no representations or warranties whatsoever concerning the suitability of any merchandise for a particular use or purpose.  The details, specification and information provided herein are the full and complete information and data available with respect to each product. Do not assume the existence of any fact, data or information that is not expressly stated herein. We only warrant the information contained herein. If you purchase under certain assumptions which are not expressly stated herein, you purchase at your own risk and without recourse to us. Returns

All sales are final.  Returns are not accepted under any circumstance. To the extent we may be compelled to accept returns, they are subject to a 30% stocking fee. The shipping and handling charges are non-refundable.

Each customer expressly assumes all risks associated with operating/riding a motor scooter/motorcycle which may be classified as an inherently dangerous activity. As an express condition of any purchase, the purchaser agrees to release the seller, distributor, dealer and manufacturer from any injuries or damage associated with operating/riding the motor vehicle that is the subject of this transaction. Purchaser further expressly agrees to familiarize himself/herself with all safety regulations and procedures applicable in his/her jurisdiction and further comply with same. We recommend the use of DOT certified protective helmets and other safety and protection gear at all times during the operation of any motorcycle/motor scooter.
